Hi Everyone!
We hope that you are all well and working hard at home. Your teachers and teaching assistants are missing you all so much and we hope to see you all soon!
We have prepared some work for you to do at home so please take a look at your Home Learning Blog below.
Home Learning Blog
We will be adding our Home Learning information and resources on a weekly basis to our dedicated Home Learning Year 2 Blog.
We understand home schooling is different for every family and not everybody will be able to complete it everyday. Please do what you can and try to get into a routine of doing some reading, writing and maths regularly. We recognise that it is vital to look after your mental health and well being so make some time to get outside, play games and sit down and talk to each other. The children will be missing their friends so it would be great if they can keep in contact with them either on the phone or via video calls.
BBC Bitesize
To support home learning BBC Bitesize have created daily lessons in Maths and English for every year group, as well as regular lessons in Science, History, Geography and more. The homeschooling lessons have been created with teachers and other educational experts and feature a mix of videos, animations, practice activities, quizzes and games. Click on the link BBC Bitesize and choose your child’s year group to start your homeschooling.
Mindful Monster Activities
The booklet below provides you with some ideas for activities that you might like to try out at home with your child. Why not try a new one every day?
Well-Being Activities
At the moment we are all adjusting to a new way of living and working. There have been lots of changes which have taken place quickly. This can cause worry and leave children with lots of unanswered questions. The booklet below provides some tips, ideas and activities that can help can help both yourself and your child through these times of uncertainty.
Education City
Currently our school has access to Education City at home. Your child should now have been given their log in information by their Class Teacher, if this is not the case please contact school. Once you have their log in details visit the Education City website and enter your child’s user name and password. On the site select subjects and choose from English, Maths, Science and Computing. When a subject has been chosen, select the year group your child is currently in and then have fun playing the games and completing the activities!
